In 1998, The Founder and President Dr. Haminder Singh established a project Jyoti-Sarup Kanya Asra (enlightening girls’ paths). The campaign Jyoti Sarup Kanya Asra is a mainstay for destitute girls. He started this project for orphan girls to accommodate, give them nourishment, and uplift them through education. The project is currently working with the support of more than 5000 donors from all over the world.
Dr. Harminder was serving 4 of the girls by donating books in early 1998. Later on, in 2000 he started a community with 8 members of an NGO (Non-Governmental Organization) with 12 girls. Because we realized numerous girls in our society need to serve with affection, care, and education.
Nowadays social evil, increasing female societal case, comparison among boys and girls are increased under a survey in 2015-2016. So, we believe in Sabla Sukanya Samridhi yojana supports the enablement of girls. “One stop shop” midpoint for survivors of violence against women has been set up and is being utilized. This community helps those girls by empowering them.
The main goal of this project is to enlighten these girls’ paths so they can become responsible and respectable citizens of our society. The girls are given education, accommodation, food, medical facilities, and other basic amenities. In addition, vocational training, one library, and computer training are also provided to the girls, so that they can start their businesses and become financially independent.
Its main mission is to accommodate, feed, and give a healthier life to all orphan child girls in Punjab, India with help of public funds and sponsorships.
